Clarissa grew up in a studio focused on technique, molding her to be a precise instrument. Although such styles can put you in a box, Hip hop has challenged her to reach outside those boundaries while continuing to grow within her personal style striving to teach others how to be themselves within dance. In 2009 she joined her first crew Encore Dance troupe. Soon after she joined Street Beatz, an urban percussion group that incorporates tap dancing and drumming to create beats. She has continued her work with Street Beatz and performing at multiple NBA halftimes and corporate events.

Clarissa, in the battle scene as C-Rox. has won 1st place at Go Girl Tres and Queen of the Floor at the very first Beyond Creativity Conference. Also winning 1st place at Kanvas with Ben10 in the Adam and Eve 2013 Battle. After hearing so much about Julie Johnson and her team, their paths finally collided in 2011. While training with Studio One, they went on to win the Gold medal at HHI USA in 2013 and the following year to win the silver medal for the USA. Clarissa’s influences have helped her become who she is today and have pushed her to be the best she can be.
